  • Investigator:羅時麒
Abstract

Origin
Energy use information display has become an important strategy to promote building energy conservation. Such as smart meter monitoring data can provide occupants energy use information so that residents understand the energy consumption of buildings energy equipments, including air conditioning, lighting, appliances, etc. Thereby affecting the occupants of the energy conservation awareness, promote occupant behavior change to save energy. With Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and sensing techniques, how to grasp by building energy management systems building energy consumption issues increasingly important.
Secondly, smarter buildings import energy management system, energy monitoring energy data into information visualization, allowing users to understand the situation of energy use.
Meanwhile, the Energy Information also enhances user awareness of energy conservation, thereby promoting the user to change behavior and take action to save energy, to promote the objectives of maintaining the living environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the status of building energy monitoring systems with visualization tools, and to understand the differences of user information needs and cognitive preferences.
And to review the promotional strategies of the energy information intelligent design, serve to promote the intelligent of living space.
Research Methods and Process
This study first was to collect the relevant literatures including smart meters, building energy management systems, energy-saving promotion strategies etc., and to understand the status of development of building energy information display. Secondly, the "intelligent living space 3.0" was selected as the survey sites, questionnaire after the visit, in order to understand the needs of the respondents of information on energy use, preferences, etc.,and to investigate the effect of energy information and feedback on user behavior. Finally, the intelligent promotion strategy was reviewed, and energy management system was imported to the intelligence building.

Important Findings
Based on the above analysis results, the important findings of this study are concluded as follows:
1.For the visitors to the building energy use of information needs and preferences, the survey showed that individual appointments respondents (N1 = 30) of the information needs to “electric   consumption" of information of the highest demand, Secondly, "water consumption ". Information Preference places, " Comparison of different period of electricity use" highest preference  (evaluation score 1.3). Secondly, the evaluation score more than one, is displayed as "helpful" level, including "real time electric consumption" (1.17), "Comparison of electric consumption of different equipments (air conditioning, lighting, power, etc.)", "consumption of electricity estimate "," indoor  environmental quality (temperature, humidity, CO2, etc.) "(1.13)," renewable energy generation (solar, wind, etc.) "(1.07)," electricity per hour "," different space saving electricity comparison of outcomes  "and" achieve the energy savings "(1). But more than 80 percent of the respondents said the building in which the building was not fitted energy information display, resulting in the building is not easy to obtain the relevant building energy user information.
The results showed that the development of building energy use of visual information, the future intelligent design will need to be strengthened to promote.
2.The visitors awareness of building energy information, the investigation of this study showed that individual appointments respondents (N1 = 30) highly appreciated the value of information   of the building energy use. 70 percent of the visitors surveyed believe building a better  understanding of energy use, 60% are willing to take the initiative to save energy, 43.33% are willing to assist in the promotion of energy conservation. Contrast to this study to promote conservation motive Energy survey, respondents believed that their own benefit (money), benefit for the environment
(carbon reduction) accounted for 73.33% highest. In addition, 20% of respondents believe may be due to see the energy information and then take the initiative to save energy.
3.Information on the respondents if they can get more building energy information, to enhance the respondents' attitude towards the promotion of energy conservation and information feedback. The survey showed that building energy information for individual appointments respondents (N1 = 30), official organizations respondents (N2 = 26) and school groups respondents (N3 = 34) were with positive feedback about the evaluation score of "helpful" level, if we can get more energy information, visitors will be more efforts to promote energy   conservation, if they can obtain further more energy cost information, the more positive feedback, respondents will be more efforts to promote energy conservation, and promoting the promotion of energy conservation.

Main Recommendations
The immediate and long-term suggestions of this study are proposed as follows:
1.For immediate suggestion: To promote the "intelligent living space 3.0" Building energy saving show, the proposal to integrate existing energy monitoring and management system, strengthening information integration  and intelligence of energy use visual transformation, to serve for the benefit of high-quality show content for visitors to experience the intelligent life of Science and Technology.
2.For long-term suggestion: Energy saving management indicator of  Intelligent building label, it is recommended to encourage the installation of smart meters, water meters, and information display tools to enhance intelligent building energy monitoring and control  systems, the reach of the ability of the industry to enhance energy-saving design.
