Abstract
"The objective of this study is to fulfill the Construction Research Center’s long term goal on implementing the related National Standard on Construction operational system and its data storage and to standardizing the construction material specification and also provide basis for research and inspection. The entire research plan as divided into three stages. In the first stage, the relationship between domestic Construction standards and the standard systems of the Japan. USA and International Organization were Studied. The domestic Construction standard system, Construction law and regulation and Coordinations. A conclusion and suggestion were stated for future development. In the second stage, the tie between current construction code and specification and National Standard were analyzed Focus was then Concentrated on current design and construction management procedure Recommendeation was brought up for the Close cooperation between code and National standard.
In the third stage, the study was Concentrated on the implementation of National standard on Construction application and its promotion. The objective of this stage is to rationalize the Construction process to closely follow the National Standard. In this term the research work was focus on rationalizing the direction of Construction product Based on results of first stage study and its extension on Construction Standardization, the definition of construction standard and the methodology of implementation was established Based on result of second stage study the correlation between Construction rule and regulation and its standardization the problems were analyzed and the results were Concluded. The study was then continued on the state of art on the application of national standard on construction specification its correlation and the way of further correspondence Secondary the research was concentrated on the implementation of standard on Construction practical aspect. Analysis was conducted on the fundamental item on uniformity and its compromise. Additional work was conducted on selection of construction inaterial specification requirement and quality verification and its control Case study was conducted on concrete fire proof materials and metal door and window. Panel discuss was performed on the subjects further understand the problems exits in every aspect of construction industry including designer, contractor and material supplier.
The research work was divided into three stages and concluded on the basic problem associated with standardizing the construction material. Future research work should be conducted on the procedure of standardization, establishing the data base and the standardization the technical aspect of construction to fulfill the objective of improving the quality of construction and control on the quality of product."
