Study the Material Properties of Steel Reinforced Concrete after Fire:an Example of the Self-Compacting Concrete

Abstract

Self-compacting concrete (SCC) has been extensively developed in the past years.It is being used in an increasingly wide range of industrial and civil applications.Because of its fine pore structure,exposure to high temperatures of SCC may lead to serious deterioration and explosives palling.Despite the serious uncertainties, and despite the increasing use of SCC in many applications,the temperature behaviour of SCC has not been investigated adequately and the processes involved are not fully understood. The primary results are summarized as follows: 1. Concrete after high temperature, the compressive strength, elastic modulus, tensile strength and Poisson’s ratio, are generally rises with temperature decrease, the mass loss rate and peak strain is increased with temperature increases. 2. Different cooling methods will affect the strength of concrete restoration.Specimen tested at 200 ℃ and cooling the residual compressive strength of body cooling but strong high specimens, when the temperature rises to 400 to 600 ℃, cooling into the residual specimen compressive strength of strong cooling is low, the temperature of 800 ℃ are both about the same. 3. After high temperature compression stress - strain curve increases with the degree of test temperature, the curve becoming flat, in addition, test temperature at 600℃ level, in the pressure occurs during the early closure due to cracks, just level gradually increase above the concave curve. 4. Natural cooling temperature of 400℃in the following concrete or forced cooling of concrete in the temperature of 600℃ below are all the failure modes of brittle failure, can not be complete stress - strain behavior of curve. 5. Since the filling of concrete after high temperature surface in color, no significant change from the 200 ℃ and room temperature the same, with the temperature increase, referred to yellowish brown color becomes light yellow, 800 ℃ showed the color pink and white. 6. Surface cracks in concrete specimens increased with rising temperature and the expansion of forced cooling of the cracks big crack than natural cooling.
