Abstract
Due to rapid economice development in taiwan,living environment here is forced to get narrowed and highly concentration.Sound insulation performance of windows is received much more attension by normal citizen and building occupied people in taiwan.Taiwn is situated in Subtropical and tropical and building windows used here is needless to said that have close relationship with the weather feature.That caused spcial effect of sound insulation of windows.We used the sound transmission test data of windows from the ABRI R4/R5 laboratory.First the data were put into three categatory by Horizontal pull windows,push-pull windows and fixed windows.From the analysis of real ISO standard compable test data we have build up the windows transmission loss performance database.Second part of the research is to use statical analysis of test data and to from the analysis result find out three sound transmission approximate formulae.The approximate formulae predicted results are about 1~3dB less than experiment data in sound reduction index of ISO 140 standard.
