A Study on Database of the TVOC and Formaldehyde Emission from Wet Construction Products and Program

Abstract
In Taiwan, there have the special indoor environment condition. In order to have the security, and comfortable environment, that The Architecture and Building Research Institute, Ministry of the Interior in Taiwan had developed the control strategy about green building materials. To set up The Green Building Labeling System, this can promote whole of benefit to indoor healthy performance and protect people health. Therefore, this research establishes continue with pre- research about “Small Scale Chamber Measurement System of Direct reading instrument”. To exanimate the emissive of TVOC from wet construction products. To establish the database about wet and dry construction products, and be continued to establish “Building Materials Emission Simulation” – testing version. The program can predict with emission from building material by database and can estimate the concentration for indoor volatile organic compound in under and over construction. That can provide the choice of building materials and be a reference of health risk management.
This research project expects target and expectation result as follows:
1. Creation emission of TVOC and formaldehyde from wet construction products ‘database.
2. Using the result of testing to proof the building materials emission information simulation-testing version.
3. Completing over in building Materials simulation program beta version and set up the following application direction.
4. The research can provide a "self-management of indoor air quality", "indoor environmental improvement verification" and "indoor air quality control" of the final basis for reference.
